Default 307...

i just recently purchassed a 70 c10.. the 307 is definitely not "performancy".. i was just wondering if anyone may have some small improvements (exhausts, ignitions, carbs, etc) they suggest and have tried to maybe gain a lil power and performance... i definiitely have a flat spot when i stomp on the gas...

i also dont mind hearing mpg improvements either

In my '83, I definitely have a lull from 0-25, but after that you can feel the tranny kick. Im not sure if the tranny just needs a tune up or what not.

One of the first things I did was put some good plugs, wires and a super coil in. That helped me get alot more spark. What crab do you have on it?

I also have the 307 with same issue...aside from coil/plug/wire setup was going to try carb spacer/fuel pump all before summer..I've heard from several sources the quadrajet offers MPG and power benefits...I'll post updates in stats
